Basic principles of the tension control system of the dyeing machine

Tension detection: Use tension sensors to measure the tension of the fabric in real time. These sensors usually work based on strain gauges, piezoelectric effect or other principles, and can convert the physical quantity of tension into electrical signals.
Signal transmission and processing: The electrical signal detected by the tension sensor will be transmitted to the control system, which is generally processed by a programmable logic controller (PLC) or a dedicated controller. The controller amplifies, filters and digitizes the input signal to obtain accurate and reliable tension data.
Control algorithm: The controller calculates the required control action according to the preset control algorithm. Common control algorithms such as PID (proportional-integral-differential) control calculate the control amount according to the rules of proportion, integration and differentiation by comparing the deviation between the actual tension value and the set tension value.
Actuator control: According to the results calculated by the control algorithm, the controller sends control instructions to the actuator. In the dyeing machine, the actuator is usually a motor drive, such as a frequency converter or a DC speed regulator. By adjusting the speed, torque and other parameters of the motor, the winding speed and force are changed to adjust the tension of the fabric.
Roll diameter calculation and compensation: Since the diameter of the fabric roll changes continuously during the winding process, it will affect the tension. Therefore, the system needs to calculate the roll diameter in real time based on the number of rotations of the reel, the thickness of the fabric and other parameters, and compensate the tension accordingly to keep the tension constant.
